About

I'm a software engineer focused on the backend: Kotlin, Java, Spring and Quarkus services powering credit journeys at institutions like Itaú and Equifax. I like the side of software that doesn't show — well-defined API contracts, integrations that don't break, and systems that explain themselves when something goes wrong.

What drives me is the distance between "works on my machine" and "runs well in production". That's where architecture, observability and the hard decisions live — and that's where I chose to work.

Experience

  1. Software Engineer

    Itaú UnibancoApr 2025 — present

Technical reference for the payroll-loan portability, retention and refinancing journeys at Latin America's largest private bank.

    • Evolved the portability and retention journeys across the Manager and App channels — including replacing the legacy system with a new experience that cut the flow from ~30 to 5 clicks.
    • Built the refinancing journey from the ground up: technical design, flow definition, BFF creation and the endpoints behind the 1-Click Offer.
    • Defined backend/frontend contracts, drove architecture decisions and planned a gradual rollout behind feature flags.
    • REST APIs in Kotlin and Java with Spring Boot — microservices, BFF pattern and Clean Architecture, with 90%+ test coverage, code reviews and technical support to the team.
    • AWS infrastructure: API Gateway configured through OpenAPI contracts, secrets management, and observability with Datadog, CloudWatch and Splunk.
  2. Software Engineer

    Equifax | BoaVistaSep 2024 — Apr 2025

Backend for credit data products at one of Brazil's largest credit bureaus.

    • Java services with Spring and Quarkus, applying DDD, Clean Architecture, Design Patterns and TDD.
    • Workloads on GCP: Bigtable, BigQuery, Buckets and Redis.
    • Log analysis with Splunk and API monitoring with Dynatrace.
  3. Systems Analyst

    MinsaitMay 2023 — Sep 2024

Evolution of large-scale telecom systems (VIVO).

    • Delivered features and performance optimizations across Java and SQL microservices.
    • Managed CI/CD pipelines on Azure Repos, monthly release windows and root cause analyses (RCA).
  4. Junior System Engineer

    MinsaitOct 2021 — Apr 2023

Support and integration of mission-critical telecom systems.

    • Supported and maintained critical systems, integrating SOAP-based microservices.
    • Wrote and tuned SQL for SLA-sensitive tickets and troubleshooting on Linux.

Principles

reliability

Software isn't done when it compiles; it's done when it runs well in production — including on the bad days.

observability

If you can't measure it, you can't defend it. Instrumentation isn't an extra — it ships with the feature.

simplicity

The simplest solution that solves the problem wins. Complexity charges interest, every month.

ownership

From design to incident: you build it, you run it. That's what keeps technical decisions honest.
